Good Sunday Morning, readers! Today marks my second official published bible study. I am still a bit anxious about getting the word out there, but I felt like today’s session provided a lot of context for the current climate of the world. Just as a disclaimer, these are all my personal beliefs and opinions based on various studies of various Christian faiths as well as scientific and divination tools. Now onto the session itself.

This is the pull I got from today’s section of where to read in the bible: Strength, Judgement, King of Wands (reversed) and ten of wands (reversed).
Ruth 1:20
For those of you who are new here or haven’t read my last blog, I get the places to find to read the bible based on the numbers written and associated with the cards themselves. For Ruth I got the numbers from Strength (8) and Judgement (20). Ruth is the 8th book of the bible, and since it’s a really short book, it took me to section 20 of part one. My translation is from “The Message” which is a copy of the KJV written in modern English.
“But she said, ‘Don’t call me Naomi; call me Bitter. The Strong One has dealt me a bitter blow. I left here full of life, and GOD has brought me back with nothing but the clothes on my back.”
In this context, Naomi is referring to how she felt like God has left her with bitterness, as she is left to a life without her husband and her two children, only left to the company of her daugher-in-laws, and Ruth is the one she spoke to in this context.
In relation to the two cards I pulled to get this chapter I got the following meanings:
Strength: A Triumphant conclusion to an issue
Judgement: Self awareness and Letting go.
In the context of Ruth 1:20 I see it as a story about how even though there is a loss of faith and and a time of suffering, this is the important context for the final part of the reading which I’ll get to now:
Isaiah 10: 1-4
Isaiah is the 23rd book of the bible. The King of Wands is representative of the number 23. It is also reversed in my reading. This is important context for the passage which I’ll get to below. I got the 10 of wands in the second half, which is also important for context to the passage.
“Doom to you who legislate evil, who make laws that make victims— Laws that make misery for the poor, that rob my destitute people of dignity, Exploiting defenseless widows, taking advantage of homeless children. What will you have to say on Judgement day, when Doomsday arrives out of the blue? Who will you get to help you? What good will your money do you? A sorry sight you’ll be then, huddled with the prisoners, or just some corpses stacked in the street. Even after all this, God is still angry, his fist still raised, ready to hit them again.”
In this context, it prophesizes God’s judgement on Israel for the nation’s sins. Here’s what they say in context to the cards pulled;
King of Wands (Reversed): The negative manifestation of a leader. This is usually symbolized by someone with a large ego, arrogance, a controlling attitude, a lack of vision, and/or an inability to lead others. Given we are talking about a nation’s leader, I unfortunately have to open up a bit about our recent re-elect president Trump in this case.
I do not condone bashing a politician or anybody on this page, nor do I encourage personal attacks or impoliteness when it comes to discussing current events. That being said, I will state one thing: Trump has used his executive power to turn back on the rights of many Americans since his recent inauguration. Most notably, he attempted to establish a new law that undermines the 14th amendment about birthright citizenship in the United States.
In this executive order, he asserts that children born to parents without legal status in the United States are not subject to United States jurisdiction and are, therefore, not entitled to United States citizenship. The order also extends to children born to parents with temporary legal status such as foreign students and tourists.
The Pew Research center estimates that 1.3 million U.S born adults are children of immigrants without legal status. If all those people are treated as unauthorized immigrants, that is a slippery slope that leads to other issues such as the increase in unauthorized immigrant population in the country. This can eventually lead to the next generations being born stateless. And ultimately, it should be noted that when people have legal status and the right to work legally in the United States as well as full membership of the country, it helps integrate and thrive in the country. This in turn, leads to contributions to our country, economy, and democracy.
10 of wands (reversed): This card is symbolic of many things including relief of stress, shifting perspectives, and improved coping skills.
In the context of Isaiah as well as the current events in my country, I see the 10 of wands as an omen about the truth of our current system being revealed. It’s an omen about exposing the truth of whose values are more important to individual people. I also see it as a peaceful resolution to an issue. In the context of the passage, it shows that God will punish those who lead with undue leadership qualities that impact a nation. In the context of current events, I see it as a peaceful conclusion to the political climate we are currently in.
Altogether, I see today’s bible study as a consequential unfolding of an megalomaniac leader that spreads bitterness and controversy to his nation, however God has a plan for what to do with it we just need to be patient and let faith run its course. There will be a good ending in the long run, but we need to learn to cope with the current chaos and learn the patience and love that Jesus teaches us in the new testament to bring us there.
Where is this leading?
I know it’s a bit of a grim yet hopeful reading today. That’s unfortunately a fact of life as well as something you will encounter when working with faith. That being said, I wanted to share a psalm that I found that I think fits the Christians or just anybody who needs a bit of encouragement today:
Psalm 91:4 “He will cover you with his feathers and under his wings you will find refuge.”
Remember to be kind, be a good person, and ultimately, to believe in yourself, and through that you will be protected by the powers at play from the wrath in the hearts around us.
I hope my study has found the answers that you are looking for. I will conclude this by stating this is my own practice and my own interpretations of the Bible using the various resources and experiences I have had as a fellow Christian, manifester, and person on Earth. I will never scorn you for whatever politics, faiths, or interpretations you come across. However, I will approach them with morbid curiosity. If you would like to comment, please be respectful of my faith as well as the faiths of others.
