Happy Starwars Day: SydWeldon.Com is back!

Today as I am reviving this blog, it is May 4th 2024. May 4th is Starwars day. Fitting since my 5th grade Halloween Costume was none other than Princess Leia! (Unfortunately no surviving pictures of it are in my hands)

Here is a list of Questions and Answers I’ve had about my blog:

• Q: Why did you stop the blog?
• A: I took a hiatus from the blog for multiple reasons, but the main one was how expensive the startup cost was during a financially uncertain point in time. I’m in a much better place now and I have more I can focus on.
• Q: What is your niche?
• A: Before I tried to make an artist portfolio/minimalism niche. I’ve since decided to make this more of a general creative portfolio space that mixes my fine art with fashion and non-fiction creative writing such as reviews, story-times, and essays. I am an aspiring fashion designer, painter, artist, and travel blogger.
• Q: What happened since your last blog post?

I went on a cruise with my Mama to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Seth and I celebrated 2 years together

I got a new job that forced me to think more about my health. I’ve lost 20 pounds since late 2022/early 2023. I was on a carb-free diet for 3 months practicing lent, then gradually I reduced the amount of carbs in my diet after that. Switching to more nutrient based dishes. I’m better at staying hydrated too. The goal is to balance my nutrition levels and use food as medicine.

I’ve even felt brave enough to go on stage during Rocky Horror Picture Show in Portland!

Details about the schedule will be worked out over the next couple weeks, but you can expect at least one post on either Saturday or Sunday each week. This will be an archive for art and writing. Once I have more finished sewing projects, I’ll be posting them here as well. I will also post my photos where I model outfits I’ve styled and makeup looks I’ve come up with.
